Cash for your art !

Promoting cultural activities by young refugees

Dear Applicants,

Thank you for submitting all of your great project proposals!

We received so many good ideas this year, but sadly our micro fund isn’t enough to finance all of your art activities. We will provide information about next year’s fund here as soon as we set it up!

YOU are between 14 and 27 years old?

YOU live in Berlin?

YOU came to Germany as a refugee less than seven years ago?

YOU are planning a cultural activity, that is possible in spite of the coronavirus pandemic?

For example:

  • an online reading
  • a collection of poems/stories by you and/or your friends
  • a cultural activity that takes place outside (an installation, mural or drumming workshop)
  • a short film on an issue that interests you
  • a theatre performance at Tempelhofer Feld (respecting social distancing rules)

We can provide your cultural activity with funding of up to 500 euros!

You can use the money, for example:

  • to rent microphones/stereo equipment/cameras for your activity
  • buy costumes for your theatre performance
  • print your poems/stories
  • rent a space for your workshop

If you are ready to get started, or would like more information, please check the FAQ section – which is also available in Arabic, Dari/Farsi, English, French and German.

Then provide us with an outline of your idea by filling out the Concept and sending it to aktionsfonds@lkj-berlin.de or by post (you’ll find the address below) by 26 June 2020.

We look forward to receiving your ideas!
