Action Fund Cultural Youth Education 2019
Help create and decide!
Nurture individual initiative and implement ideas: With the help of the Action Fund Cultural Youth Education at Jugend.Sprungbrett.Kultur youth and young adults with a refugee background can implement own ideas and initiatives that have artistic-creative and cultural-educational objectives.
With the Action Fund Cultural Youth Education Jugend.Sprungbrett.Kultur would like to contribute towards making a change in perspective: Enhancing integration through responsible participation and help remove young people with a refugee background from their status as addressees of well-intentioned offers, by supporting them in their role as confident actors.
The Action Fund Cultural Youth Education would like to:
- strengthen the self-organisation as well as initiatives of young refugees
- enable the active participation of marginalised persons and groups
- promote transculturality, pluralism and diversity of perspectives in cultural education
- make the field of resources and power-structures more democratic and equitable
The Action Fund Cultural Youth Education 2019 is divided into two pillars:
Pillar 1 - Vision X: What does your future look like? is aimed at refugees who have already settled in Germany, understand German texts and would like to take on responsibilities through their own projects, which they implement for and with young people up to the age of 27. The total capacity of Pillar 1 amounts to 10,000 €; 500 € - max. 2,000 € is to be awarded per project.
Pillar 2 - the Microfund - is aimed at young refugees up to the age of 27 who have been living in Germany for a maximum of 7 years, who are excluded from existing project funding instruments due to language, residence law and / or other bureaucratic barriers, and are able to try carry out smaller projects and ideas without having to go through complex application procedures. The total capacity of Pillar 2 is 5,000 €; a maximum of 500 € is to be allocated per project.
As part of the overall concept for the Integration and Participation of Refugees (GIP) of the State of Berlin, the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family (SenBJF) is supporting the project Jugend.Sprungbrett.Kultur, thereby enabling the Action Fund.
